Here at StoryQuarterly.com we’re passionate about publishing! We love the way that self-publishing has exploded in the past ten years. Traditional publishers may complain about the growth of ebooks but we believe the invention of the ebook reader means that people are reading more and more – of all kinds of books.
We think that e-readers will have the same effect on the book industry that home video players did on movie theaters in the 80s. If you remember that time, you’ll remember how everyone thought movie theaters would die out as soon as people could rent movies to watch in their homes. In fact, the opposite happened. More possibilities to watch movies = more customers. We think the same thing is happening with books.
So it’s a great time to get into writing or publishing. See our post on how to publish on Kindle for ideas. Sorry, we can’t accept books for review at this time, but if you are a writer, we encourage you to get your work out there, and we wish you every success!
Note: we are not connected with the Story Quarterly magazine published by Rutgers University.
